About

I’m Rachel and I am the founder of Pilates & Performance and I have worked as a Pilates and movement coach for over 22 years.

I began working as a personal trainer back in 1999 where I developed a passion for supporting people achieve their fitness goals and reaching their full potential. Since then I devoted my time to learn the most that I can to truly understand the human body. I have completed full training courses in matwork pilates with some of the world’s best educators, a sports therapy diploma, numerous functional training courses, breathwork and myofascial release, pre and post natal training, osteoporosis courses, Pilates for neurological disorders and specialist Polestar Pilates studio equipment training to become a leading name in Pilates and movement work.

In addition to owning 2 studios in 2 different countries, I spent 8 years in Sweden where I worked with elite athletes including a professional football team, cross country skiers, ice hockey players and even travelled to Canada to work with the Canadian Biathlon team ahead of their Olympic tour.  Over the years I have worked with people of all ages and backgrounds ranging from 16-101 years old! The one thing I have learnt over this time is that movement heals. It doesn’t matter what movement you do, find something you love and do that with a passion.

When I am not working I am kept busy being a mum to my 3 very active boys. I love to run, strength train, do pilates (obviously!) and have just competed in my first Hyrox competition.
